Smile!
Thought for the day: Smile more!
When I’m out and about during the day I have the tendency to focus on whatever task needs to be done and I don’t always look around, make eye contact with people or smile. It’s something I’m working on. I have to make a conscious effort to get out of my own head and engage, even if it’s just giving someone a little smile but I’ve come to realize…my smile might be the only smile someone sees today. It doesn’t take much effort and it might be just what someone else needs to see in order to change their day around. PLUS….it’s a good way to brighten my own day. So, SMILE! 😆

Today is your day!
I’ve learned, especially within the past few years, that you can’t be encumbered by the things you can’t change from your past or the fears you have of your future. Live today, fully. Find your purpose and embrace it. Close your eyes and imagine the person you aspire to be…and then…be. Make it happen. True failure only comes when you stop trying. Every single day is a fresh start. If yesterday wasn’t the greatest, shake it off! Today is your day to do something great! Make it count!

Smiling At My Phone
I was just sitting here pondering the complexities of life (I was actually in my jammies, watching funny animal videos on YouTube and popping my bubblegum…but “pondering complexities” sounds like a more intellectual pastime, dontcha think?), when I get a text from a friend that literally made me laugh out loud and almost choke on my gum. I love having funny friends—whether the particular ‘funny’ of the moment is sarcastic, silly, dirty or quick-witted…I’m thankful to be blessed with friends that constantly bring a smile to my face. Sometimes it takes us a lifetime to find friends like that, and sometimes people are blessed to have met their close friends during childhood. I met the majority of my good friends within the last 5 years. When I’m sitting alone and I smile at my phone and laugh out loud like a complete dork…I know the wait was well worth it.
